Ate at Sweet Charlie's in Clio at noon. Gary enjoyed his crispy hash with two sunny-side up eggs on top and rye toast (thin) on the side ($3.50). I had the turkey club sandwich, served with potato chips and a pickle for $4.75. We split a dense caramel pecan brownie (only $1.50!). Everything is reasonable and tasty. The decor is well-planned. When we were there at noon, business was steady with most booths taken. Right now they're open every day until 3:00 (closed Sundays). After the first of the year, they plan to be open until 8:00 on Thursdays and Fridays (fish fry). I will write a review soon for the Journal.
I'm a high school parapro and spend most of my workday helping kids plan their beyond high school careers. Before that, I taught reading to early elementary students for twenty years. I decided to write this blog showcasing my love of restaurants, the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, flowers, birds, wildlife and more--sometimes connecting them all!
