Hadn't planned to go out to lunch today, so I had already eaten when Gary came home and wanted to go to Sweet Charley's in Clio. He'd been there for breakfast with Fred and enjoyed it. Today temps were in the upper 90's and we walked in through an open door, and I knew that spelled trouble! No air conditioning, but there was a fan, and it could've been worse. I didn't eat, just had a Diet Coke and a bite of Gary's turkey club, which he loved! This is in the main block of Clio and is only open until 3:00 p.m. Turkey is roasted every morning for the sandwiches, and there are fresh baked goods.
A few hourse later it was time for church potluck! I made the hamburger/Tater Tot casserole and a salad of broccoli slaw with raisins, slivered almonds and sesame ginger dressing. Faye brought macaroni salad and a rhubarb cake. Amanda brought chicken and potatoes, and Sandy contributed pizza.
This hot and steamy weather is supposed to begin to leave us after storms tomorrow. Hope so!
